Winter Blues
Sometimes I get the Winter Blues, but it’s probably not what you would expect.
On multiple occasions during fall and winter, I longingly glance at fashion bloggers in other states with envy who get to pile on faux fur coats, wool hats, and over-the-knee boots… all at the same time. In southern California, where the weather easily tops 70 degrees even in our coldest months, I’m forced to try and style my Havaianas and cutoff jean shorts for winter (maybe with a scarf? Only 100% cotton of course, lest I sweat to death). Ugh, #thestruggle.
Therefore, I am so happy that vests are having a (very big!) moment. They are the SoCal resident’s winter coat and a way to layer trends without beads of sweat rolling down my back (ew, sorry). I especially love this one because it is reversible- quilted nylon on one side for when I am feeling sporty, and faux fur on the other to snazz up a blouse.
Let’s start counting how many times the lariat necklace makes an appearance on my blog. Seriously my favorite necklace right now. This is #2.
