What I am Wearing: LA Fashion Market Part II
Apple Printed Blouse {Nordstrom}, Boyfriend Jeans {first seen here}, Sandals {similar here}, Belt {similar here}
This is the time of year when I itch for fall weather. My summer clothes are starting to look dull and I all I want to do is throw on a cozy cold weather collection of hats, sweaters, boots, and scarves. Since it is still August and summer is just getting started on the Southern California coast (thanks a lot, June Gloom that carried into July), I will have to settle for starting with a fall color palette.
Enter burgundy.This color is everywhere for the fall season and I am not waiting any longer to wear it (obviously). The rich hue can be treated as a neutral as it goes with just about any color. I love it with navy or army green but it looks chic and unexpected with a mustard yellow. Invest in this color for the upcoming season and you can thank me later.
Onto the day 2 finds at LA Market.
Sanctuary (one of my tried and true brands) looked great for the fall season. Leather detailing, army green, and geometric patterns dominated the collection. Here are a few of my must-haves.Camo pants: I love the pattern of camo which adds a layer of interest but is still subtle enough for the pants to be considered versatile.
Chunky knit: This beauty was soft and cozy. When I tried this on, I immediately saw myself surrounded by Christmas trees and drinking hot cider. And I don’t drink hot cider, like, ever.
Army green vest: To wear with all my burgundy, and almost every other color for that matter! I couldn’t ignore the glare of the showroom gals as they kept a close watch on me for the rest of the meeting after they saw me try this puppy on.
Also on my must-have list for fall is graphic tees and no one makes them better than Lauren Moshi. Pricey? Yes. But Lauren Moshi hand sketches all her graphics, chooses only the softest materials, and all her clothing is made in the U.S.
