My love for navy blue starts with my Nana. I remember as a young child seeing her admiration for the rich, regal color and she often dressed me in that shade. From her example, I quickly learned that navy is the perfect counterpart to almost every color: navy + pink, navy + green, navy + red, navy + yellow… you get the picture.
So when the Australian company GCGme reached out to do a feature of one of their pieces, it wasn’t hard for me to choose from their selection of vibrant colors. Navy for the win, in its classic and traditional beauty.
.They have so many maxi dresses online to choose from. I went with the Florentine maxi dress and it’s quickly becoming a favorite of mine. The simple and elegant cut allows for versatility and the flutter sleeves adds a component that makes this dress unique to anything else.
The maxi dress pairs well with statement earrings or a bold necklace, and easily takes on whatever persona I’m feeling for the day.
The fabric is soft and thick which is forgiving in such a body-hugging cut. And I still have plenty of room to accommodate my growing belly, which is a must nowadays. I love finding non-maternity pieces that I can wear throughout my pregnancy and after. I tend to be practical down to my roots, after all.
Oh, and did I mention the dress is less than $60? A steal of a deal and you’ll be left with plenty of moolah for the upcoming holiday season.
