Heaven on Earth and a Palm Frond Romper
Sometimes you come across a place that evokes such beauty it feels like heaven on Earth. I’m sure the Caribbean has some scenic beaches that meet such requirements, or maybe standing in the center of a glacier in Alaska, and from what I can tell in pictures, one feels that way in one of those fancy huts on the water in Bora Bora. It’s even more special when such a place is 25 minutes from your own backyard.
The San Ysidro Ranch, in the hills of Montecito, is uber fancy and uber exclusive in the most down-to-Earth way. Each of the private casitas look like ranch homes, there is an expansive organic vegetable garden that the chefs at the on-site restaurants use to curate their exquisite food, and every inch is a green thumb enthusiast’s dream. So when it was time to pick a place to celebrate my husband’s and my date-a-versary, we opted for their casual dining restaurant, Plow and Angel, so we could have a whole experience instead of simply a meal.
When it came to pick the outfit for such an occasion, I relied on my tried and true for this last month. No one’s counting, but I have worn this palm frond romper at least twice in the last week alone.
It was perfect for a casual date night with a chambray shirt tied and delicate jewelry. For a bachelorette party, I ditched the outer layer and jazzed it up with an edgy necklace and black-fringed booties.
The bodice is surprisingly structured which is a great juxtaposition to it’s fun print.
Where is the closest to heaven on Earth you have found?
Romper {H&M}
What a wonderful post and place. I have always wanted to go there. The garden is amazing. You picked just the right outfit for the location and occasion. Hmmm, so many places could be closest to heaven for me:. Perhaps it’s who we are/were with that makes it heavenly.
Well said :).
Cute look!!

Me too :). And it’s a super comfy combo!
Love this whole look! I want the romper and the sandals!! Who makes them??
Thanks, Charlene! The romper is from H&M a few seasons ago and the shoes are a find from Marshall’s a couple years back.
