Hi Everyone and Happy Hump Day!
For day 3 of Operation Clean Coset, I am sharing my method for hanging jewelry, specifically necklaces and bangles, for tangle-free accessibility.
A lot of times jewelry unfairly becomes more like an afterthought to an outfit. You must get dressed, because hello awkwardness if you don’t, but accessories end up being one of those things that you get to if you have time in the rush of a morning routine. If you do have an extra minute to spare but go to your jewelry collection only to find it in a mangled ball of madness, you quickly walk away and once again your jewels sit there tangled and unused. Sound familiar?
If so, I have a solution that will cost you less than $4, take less than 3 minutes, and will ensure your neck sparkles with jewels everyday. Ready for the big secret?
I use adhesive plastic hooks. That’s it.
You can buy them at places like Bed Bath and Beyond and they are only $3.99 for a pack of 6. Multiple necklaces will fit on each hook (I have about 5 per hook, depending on how thick the beads) and since they are plastic, you don’t need to worry about necklaces tarnishing where they are touching the hook.
I adhere mine to a blank wall in our closet because it is best to keep jewelry in a cool dark place. (Side note: Never keep your jewelry in the bathroom, the humidity from the shower will tarnish them super fast).
Not only do I have tangle-free jewels, but the OCD in me really likes the organized look.
What is your jewelry organizing secret?
